Process of Making Paper from Pulp

At first the bark of the tree is removed and is washed. Once it has been washed then it is chopped into small blocks. The next thing that is done is testing of wood for any type of particles that might be metallic. This is done by using a strong magnet to run over the blocks of wood and then they make sure all meal is removed from it.

Once the wood has been deemed free of all non wood materials the next step is processed. This step is done to remove the pulp from the wood. There are several different ways to do this. One way is by using grinder, another way is to extract it with the help of a digester. Many a time chemicals are used to extract it from wood blocks. Even steam and water is also used to help remove it from wood. The pulp contains wood fibers along with cellulose which is important for the production of paper.

Once the cellulose and all of the fibers are ready the next step will begin. In the next step the bleaching of it is done to purify it before the paper is actually produced. After it has been purified the actual making of the paper is begin.

Paper has always been a favorite alternative of plastic. There are many industries where plastic is not fit for use in such industries paper fills the space. As plastic packaging of many products would increase the cost, thus in such places paper packaging is done to complete the job. Apart from this, paper packaging is widely used as toilet rolls, kitchen towels, for making paper cups etc. Paper has countless applications in diverse industries, but how can you decide whether it is suitable for a particular application?
